MY STORY

Custom Brand Eyeglass Cleaner "CBEC" is a Woman Owned Small Business with an inspiring history and beginning!

Snjezana Jazic "Gina" began CBEC in the beginning of 2018 here in Fort Worth Texas.  Gina and another female friend started their own Woman Owned Small Business with the financial backing of a friend they met here in America.  After just two years her friend moved away to get married.  Gina helped her friend in the decision to move.

After years of hard work, treating others with respect, and making good decisions, Gina was now operating her own small business.

Gina was born in Bosnia and grew up there.  She married "Beto" Jazic who was an electrician and somewhat of a famous local soccer player!  Gina worked  as an accountant until war broke out in Yugoslavia in 1992.

As part of the breakup of Yugoslavia - The Bosnian War was an international armed conflict that took place in Bosnia and Herzegovina between 1992 and 1995.  When the US intervened in 1995 Gina and her husband was forced to leave their home with their young daughter.  They came to America as refugees.

They had to leave everything - family, home, possessions, money, and their country.  They were completely broke and headed to a country where they have never before been.  When they applied for immigration there was a sponsor that helped them come to America providing them with jobs and housing.

The hardest obstacle for Gina and Beto to overcome was learning the English language!

Gina originally worked for a major manufacturing company in Fort Worth.  Later, and as her English improved, she went to work for a small optical supply company where she worked for 17 years!

Gina and Beto worked diligently and saved their money all the while putting their daughter,  Gordana through college.  Gordana has earned a masters degree in Marketing!

Gina is Living the American Dream!
